"Dawn breaks, gold and red color the sky as the mist lifts from the valley floor.
A conch sounds, a lamp is lit, the fragrant smell of incense drifts on the early morning air.
Once again, the universe is created, and a blessing is given to the inner self of all".
Ganesa incense is not just a nice fragrance.
When it is lit, an offering is made.
The concept of Ganesa Incense began in India, when the business founder, Keshav Dali, stood at the foot of a statue of Ganesh, the vedic god of good fortune. Since then, the journey of sourcing the best and most potent essential oils and high quality concentrated fragrant oils from Africa, France, Turkey, India and Australia to make this incredible incense has been one of upliftment and joy.
Eventually Keshav passed on his expansive knowledge to the new owners, Vidura and Narayani, who today continue the tradition of enhancing your everyday life with their carefully hand-made incense, working with their team from the beautiful Mornington region of Southern Victoria, in Australia.
(Some incense scents have attributes which compliment particular zodiac star signs. These scents have a zodiac symbol displayed in the product information section. Clicking each symbol will open a new page with further tidbits).
It's rare that products of this nature are completely made in Australia or with pure aromatherapeutic oil, (not synthetic fragrances). Ganesa incense is made with special care, using untreated pine sawdust blended with unique oils to make a paste which is then rolled onto an untreated pine stick, dried and presented to you in a handmade container covered delightfully with the green leaves of water hyacinth.
(Water hyacinth plants provide most of the 'bodhi' or 'buddha' seeds sold on the market today, which are often used to make prayer malas because of their 'star and moon' markings that are thought to repel evil. These water hyacinth containers are completely biodegradable and are wonderful for gifting, e.g. Ganesa incense makes a lovely house-warming present).
If you have ever purchased high quality pure essential oils for use in aromatherapy, you will know that such oils are quite expensive. The higher price of Ganesa Incense sticks reflects their higher quality ingredients. When you burn a Ganesa Incense stick, you are creating an aromatherapeutic experience, just as you would by adding similar oils to the bath of an oil burner. Ganesa Incense has been created with your good health in mind - spiritually, mentally, and physically.
This superb aromatherapeutic incense comes in two sizes -
- standard (20 sticks per container), each burns for approx. 45 - 60 minutes (in a draft free environment)
- super size (10 sticks per container), each burns for approx 2 hours (in a draft free environment)
All sticks are 15 inches in length. (Garden incense length). Each stick has at least 11 inches of burnable incense.
