Nurturer
Well where do I start with this one!....
Lianne nurtures in many ways and forms. Most mothers and wives are inherently nurturing, but beyond that she has had to endure far and beyond and still does to this day. I will not go into great detail as that would be her life story and that is for Lianne to tell (or not) and beyond the scope of my intentions here- (besides that, it would fill a book and take me too long to write! *Smile*)
Our eldest, Penne lives in a nearby suburb with her daughter, Tara and son Bailey; and their dog and cats - she has been to divorce and back but is now making progress in her new direction.
Our eldest son, Aaron has been through some difficult times since our move from Victoria in 1993, he liked our home there and severely missed his friends and footy club in which he was a star performer.
Then in 1994 he and Penne witnessed Sean's terrible accident and have really not overcome the resultant trauma of the event - Lianne is their rock and continues to nurture them, as is her way.On 23rd of August 1994, our youngest son, Sean, was hit by a van while running across a busy road on his way home from school.
Sean sustained massive head injuries, was near death in intensive care, comatose for 11 days, in hospital for several months, and was a hospital outpatient for a further 3 months.
He was brain-damaged, and now has permanent partial paralysis in his right side, slurred and delayed speech, and short term memory problems.
During the time Sean was in hospital, Lianne "healed" him metaphysically, using crystals as aids, massaged his body with essential oils, and sang and read to him.
(I helped with the massages and healing and my version of "singing"! )
Penne and Aaron spent every spare moment at their brother's bedside.
Lianne continues as carer and guardian of Sean and nurtures his daughters, Zali and Lani, in our specially built house.
Sean can "walk" short distances with difficulty, but relies on a mobility scooter or wheelchair for longer treks
She also nurtures the other special people in her life - her dog Rastus, and cat, Pusska; my dog, Axl and, sometimes, four kookaburras, and a family of possums in the rear garden.
Oh, and of course... me !
